20 of Doncaster’s finest business women are being invited to join us for the NatWest/Icon Events Ladies luncheon on the 24th July 2008 at the Hesley Suite at Castle Park Conference Centre from 12:30pm onwards. Britpol Launch Event

40,000 new Polish businesses were established in the UK this year. BritPol is a forum for Polish Business, British businesses interested in Poland as a new market or employers of Polish workers needing specialist services across the UK. BritPol aims to support Polish businesses acclimatize to the British business culture through a series of events that offer support, advice, guidance and networking, etc.

| Creative Exchange: South Yorkshire
Creative Exchange: South Yorkshire was the first in a series of “Get Connected” events being held at Castle Park Conference Centre. Jonathan Robinson, founder and director of The Hub, the first sustainable creative workspace in the UK and Rick Armstrong, Director of Mentor and a networking expert led the day and fuelled topical discussion in workshop settings. The “Get Connected” series is aimed at supporting the Creative and Digital industry through practical networking skills, sharing best practise from international workspace studies, raising the profile of CDI workspace across South Yorkshire, and participating in interactive workshop sessions.

The Creativity Business
Keeping the temperature up for HotHouse, net.work, Doncaster’s creative and digital businesses cluster, hosted The Creativity Business, the Trade Fair with a difference at Doncaster Dome…. It brought Doncaster’s creative businesses together under one roof, to show their skills and products to the Doncaster public, and to all the businesses and employers who can use those skills for promotion, training, ideas development, marketing and innovation. Graphic designer, craft worker, film-maker, performer, digital games maker, artist. This was the fair for them. Workshops, business advice, and demonstrations were also held.

| Creative Conference
The venue for this event was held at the High Melton campus of Doncaster College, on Thursday May 31st 2007. The purpose of the event was to present and explore key issues, findings and draft recommendations of the Creative and Digital Industry strategy. The conference brought together practitioners from the sector in Doncaster, a range of expert contributors and key stakeholders and decision-makers in Doncaster.

Church View Consultation
Aimed at the Creative and Digital Industry in Doncaster this event consisted of a consultation evening focusing on developing options for creative workspace in the town. over 60 businesses enjoyed curry in the cathedral. CIDA and Net.work were major partners in the event.
